Ashley’s big news!!!
The Thursday and Friday after Christmas break all of the students in the district took a set of practice CRCT (Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests). These tests are taken by all students 1-12 grade every year to make sure that they are learning what they supposed to be and are on track with “No Child Left Behind”. Understand that teachers are still teaching skills, and students are still learning, this was mostly to see if students are on track. Today, results came back and teachers took time to meet every student to discuss what they were doing well and what they still need to improve on…..
Ashley got a perfect 100% on the reading portion of the exam!!!! She is on par with the other students in her class with the other tests, but this is amazing. One of the teachers thinks she may have had the only 100% in the school. I don’t know about that, but I do know it is pretty amazing.
