The kids had fun for Christmas
Wow! Let’s see, a lot has happened since I blogged last. Daniel flew in on the 20th for Christmas break with us. The next day chaos happened at Paul’s work and he had to spend the whole day running for work. The kids played together so nicely though, they played board games managed to entertain themselves very well. They hardly even noticed that Paul was busy. Saturday Paul spent the day with the kids, while I ran for some last minute shopping myself. We all opened gifts early so everyone had a little time with their gifts before leaving. Then on Christmas Eve morning we all piled into Paul’s van and headed for Atlanta. We spent the night at a hotel with a pool and the kids got to swim and play most of the day. We went out to dinner and then watched a movie and went to bed. That night Santa visited us at the hotel and the next morning the kids had a great breakfast at the hotel and we headed to the airport to put the kids on planes. Both kids flew by themselves, Dan is getting used to it, however it was Ashley’s first time. I was so nervous I almost bought a standby ticket to fly with her. She called when she landed and she loved it said it was great!
I am now at home with no job, no kids, and a husband who has to work. Luckily for me the kids and the cats left the house in shambles. I have no shortage of things to keep busy with. I am also trying to finish the Christmas stocking I am making for Dan and pack up Christmas and just put the house back together before the next semester of school starts.
Paul is working on plans for our 1 year anniversary, we just don’t know if we are going to celebrate early while Ashley is in Minnesota, or find a babysitter for her. Well back to cleaning…
