Can’t sleep
It’s Sunday night and I can not sleep. I have been waiting for an e-mail from my history professor almost all day letting me know how I did on my paper and final exam. No message from him, and now my mind is racing. I have Christmas cards to write, Christmas letter to write, Christmas baking to do, Christmas packages to prepare.
I went out and bought these great silicone ”pull-apart cupcake molds” from Target. One is shaped like a wreath and one like a snowman. You fill the 12 sections with cupcake batter same as any other cupcakes. You bake the, then pop them out of the mold, assemble and frost like it is a cake. Only no cutting! Perfect for school Christmas parties, and now that I have been adopted as class mom for several class rooms, this is a great thing! Also I am baking for Paul’s driver’s and employees. Yesterday I made 234 chocolate chip cookies so he could give a package to each of his employees to thank them. These molds will be great for their monthly safety meetings too. Only I’m not sure anyone here has actually seen a real snowman before???
Mondays around here actually tend to be pretty easy, since I’m done with school for the semester. I volunteer at the school from 2 until 3:25 working as a literacy tutor. For now anyway. I still have to figure out what school schedule makes the most sense. Paul’s schedule is so chaotic and impossible to rely on I feel day classes make the most sense while Ashley’s in school, but then I can’t work at the school and go to school at the same time. So I’m still figuring this one out. Prolly gonna go with Tuesday Thursday classes and hope for a Saturday class or internet class to fill things out. I would like to go full 12 credits this semester so I have lots to do. I am finding I don’t do bored very well at all.
