Update
I went to parent/teacher conferences yesterday. Ashley is doing great! She has all “A’s” and an “E” in conduct. She is reading above grade level and doing really well. She is going to start going with a group of kids to see a speech therapist “once and a while” to work on her “s” because she has an “inter dental lisp” caused by her tongue going between her teeth, and making the “tttttttssssssssss”. Now she is not officially in speech therapy, because the problem is not severe, and does not interfere with her learning, but because other kids in her class are recieving help she is entitled to occasional help, to try and make her aware and learn how to correct the lisp.
Ok, that’s Ashley now Paul’s job… He is working hard, but basically what is happening is the evening guy with the bad foot is now working mornings and doing paperwork while Paul is working evenings, driving setting up trailers and running around. His boss and him are actually meeting right now to discuss several issues. Once the injured guy is back to okay then things will go back to normal. Ashley and I made brownies and cookies for his safety meetings, and even though Paul was out driving a truck and not able to run the meetings, Someone else ran them and the treats were a hit, not even a crumb was left. I guess Ash and I will do that very month. I know she really likes cooking and baking and helping me.
ME!!!! I got a new bigger crock pot yesterday. A whole 6.5 quart, perfect for making stews. I also got a silicone pull apart cupcake mold, in the shape of a Christmas wreath. I also want the penguin and snwman, but I guess those will have to wait for now. I am keeping up with class pretty good, the reading is still alot, but I am doing better at skimming and getting through the material, for the content. I have learned that I don’t need to know or remember every word of text, I need to know the ideas. The Professor will give us the specific stuff like names and dates we need to know. I am getting the hang of it all.
