I did it!!!
As of 1:45 p.m. today I am officially a college student in the state of Georgia. I am registered in Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Fall Flex schedule. This is like a really intense summer calendar only during the fall. Actually AASU has 2 fall flex semesters within the fall semester. I am taking 2 classes 3 hours a day 4 days a week for the next 7 weeks. Then in January I will begin taking a normal 15 week semester. I was going to study early education, however I have learned today that I can only get a bachelors or masters degree in that, no associates degree which is all I want to focus on at this time. So I think I am going to get a liberal arts associate degree. I should be complete with that by mid next year if I work very hard. I am also preparing to take the GACE exam which is the Georgia competency degree for the No Child Left Behind act. Once I have passed the GACE I am completely eligible to work in the school district in any capacity except an actual teacher.
