Ashley’s pierced ears
Ashley got brave yesterday and decided to let mom pierce her ears. She was nervous at first, afraid it was gonna hurt really bad. She grabbed her spooky bear, and tried very hard to be brave, but every time she saw the piercing gun she would freak out. So we tried it with Paul doing the piercing, and she didn’t like that any better. We offered several times to let her wait to another day. She was set on getting pierced now, she wants them healed before Christmas. Finally she crawled into Paul’s lap to cry and when she put her head on his shoulder she felt much better. So I grab some lobe and started piercing. After the first one was in she sat right up and looked and Paul and I am said “that’s not so bad.” We offered to wait til tomorrow to do the second one, but now she was brave. So we pushed ahead and did the second piercing. She is growing up so fast. She had to call and tell every one that she got them pierced. I also got a cool tip from the lady at the supply store where I bought the piercing gun and studs. She told me she does body piercing and she has her clients go to the pharmacy and purchase medicine normally used to heal mouth sores faster and apply it to the holes every day for the first week. It will not only numb the area, but also help it heal faster and guard against infection. Now I have to find all my studs and be as brave as Ashley. I have 9 holes that have been empty for quite a while.
