and so it starts…
I just got a phone call from my driver supervisor… I was ordered to report to Stephanie, the dispatch supervisor, as soon as possible preferably tomorrow. I am now being told that she claims she never approved my A.M. only route this year. I calmly explained that I would not be driving a bus for P.M. routes this year. I explained that I have been discussing this situation not only with Stephanie but also the contract manager, Randy, since the end of last school year. Stephanie has not just implied that my request was granted she has come out more then once and said she would have another driver for afternoons meet up with me as soon as she gets one. I explained to my supervisor that I would be allowed to drive A.M. only or not at all. I guess we will see what comes of this tomorrow. I know this is only the first of many problems I will have, if I stay on with First Student, Savannah. I am not under any delusion regarding my employ however, I know that there is a better then 50% chance that the union will win the vote next week. The job search begins in earnest tomorrow.
